Section your hair (completely dried) into approximately five-inch sections around your head. Clamp the waver near your scalp. Hold for a few seconds, release, then clamp the remainder of the section (immediately below your recently-waved hair). Depending on the length of your hair, you may have to clamp each section 2-4 times to get the entire length of your hair.
Make sure to finish with a perfect beach spray to complete the sexy, tousled look. Bring on the summer fashion!

Paul Mitchell Clipless Wand
This wand’s unique tear-drop shape creates a much more natural, bouncy curl than a traditional iron. While using a clipless can take some getting used to (word of caution – do not burn your finger!) you will discover it’s ease of use in no time. While older wands (aka, curling irons without clips) usually had a more conical shape (narrow at the tip, wide at the base) the PM Clipless is the opposite. It’s teardrop form allows for a wide tip and narrow base, meaning the curls at the top hold better (which is great, because that’s where you want the lift!) and the curls at the bottom fall into a more natural wave. The Clipless came out about 6 months ago, and we can barely keep it in stock! Everyone is wild over this new iron.
Hai Nu Stik 1″ Flat Iron
Tried and true, Hai makes the best flat irons around. Beauty Company carries two sizes, the Convertable (1.5″) and the Nu Stik (1″). The Nu Stik is the most popular size, and we use one in our Salon. Nearly each of our many employees, both past and present, cannot live without their Hai flat irons. Not only is this high-quaility tool durable (the Salon Nu Stik gets constant use) but it also gets hot quickly (400 degrees!). It’s gentle plates glide easily over all hair types, and will never snag or pull at your hair. This is quite simply our staple flat iron, and we would all be lost without it!

Stumped on choosing the right tweezers for your needs? A few helpful tips will help you make the right decision. Designer Colleen Mauer’s creative venture began on a cluttered desk in her Hayes Valley apartment in San Francisco nearly 6 years ago. Litle did she know her passion for design and jewelry-making would someday lead to a full-time career. Colleen moved to California in 2001 with high aspirations of finding a distinguished design job. After graduating with honors from Virginia Tech with a BS in Industrial Design, it seemed like a very feasible goal. Colleen worked at a small furniture design company in Oakland before deciding that spendiner her days in someone else’s studio was not what she had in mind. Just two years later Colleen Mauer Designs was born.
First though, Colleen lived her dream of traveling the globe and spent extensive time in Asia. With those experiences still vivid in her mind, Colleen has been even more inspired to take her designs to the next level. Jewelry has become a part of her daily routine; it serves as her source of constant inspiration. She designs using texture, color, sounds and tones as her tools for transforming a simple section of materials into a unique piece of jewelry.
